mortality/aging
• median survival time following 10 mg/kg paraquat exposure is 1.4 days in contrast wild-type and heterozygous mice exposed to the same concentration all survive
|
reproductive system
• fewer litters result per mating are seen in mutant females however male fertility is normal
• homozygous females have a higher rate of post-implantation embryonic death that is dependent on the maternal genotype, however estrus cycle and ovarian morphology are normal
|
behavior/neurological
• mutants become listless within about 30 minutes of intraperitoneal paraquat exposure (10 mg/kg), no such effect is seen in wild-type or heterozygous mice
|
homeostasis/metabolism
• median survival time following 10 mg/kg paraquat exposure is 1.4 days in contrast wild-type and heterozygous mice exposed to the same concentration all survive
