liver/biliary system
• in tetraploid rescued ES cell derived homozygous embryos, the liver bud forms but fails to expand by E10.5 and at E10.5 the liver bud is virtually indiscernible indicating a failure of the hepatoblasts to delaminate from the foregut
• however as in controls, the septum transversum mesenchyme surrounds the hepatic bud
