reproductive system
• the ventral prostate is disproportionately reduced in weight
• atrophic seminal vesicles and mucosa containing hyperplastic epithelium rich in secretory granules are seen
• the seminal vesicles are disproportionately reduced in weight
• litter size is slightly reduced for homozygous females mated with wild-type males; however, the rate of pregnancy is normal
• only 7% of wild-type females housed with homozygous males became pregnant compared to 20% housed with wild-type males; however litter size was normal

growth/size/body
• from E11.5 onwards homozygotes are smaller than wild-type littermates reaching only 70% of the weight of wild-type at birth; however, placental weight is similar to wild-type
• the rate of weight gain is lower in mutants such that by 21 days of age homozygotes weigh 50% that of wild-type; however, by 60 days of age mutants have caught up slightly reaching about 65% of wild-type weight

vision/eye
• eyes open several days later, some after weaning

endocrine/exocrine glands
• the ventral prostate is disproportionately reduced in weight
• atrophic seminal vesicles and mucosa containing hyperplastic epithelium rich in secretory granules are seen
• the seminal vesicles are disproportionately reduced in weight

embryo
• from E11.5 onwards homozygotes are smaller than wild-type littermates reaching only 70% of the weight of wild-type at birth; however, placental weight is similar to wild-type
