• cells from the bone marrow show a 30% increase in chemotaxic responsiveness to the anaphylatoxin, C5a, compared to wild-type mice
increased inflammatory response ( J:104092 )
• following pulmonary complex injury the number of total cells and neutrophils infiltrating the lung is increased 250-300% compared to wild-type mice; however no difference in the influx of monocytes is seen
• following pulmonary complex injury the concentrations of TNF and IL6 in lung homogenates and TNF levels in bronchoalveolar lavage are increased
