• after sublethal irradiation, mutants do not recover thymic or splenic cellularity after 4 weeks, while controls show high recovery of cellularity after 4 weeks
• spleens of irradiated mutants have reduced numbers of B220+ CD19+ B cells compared to wild-type controls, indicating less efficient B cell recovery
• after irradiation, CD4+ and CD8+ subpopulations in the thymus and spleen are lower in mutants compared to wild-type littermates
