Tg(Pomc1-cre)1Mlf mutation (0 available)
phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• mice have shortened life spans compared to wild-type but increased survival times compared to Cdkn1b-deficient (nontransgenic) animals

neoplasm
• transgenic mice develop pituitary tumors at an increased incidence over wild-type or nontransgenic mutant mice

endocrine/exocrine glands
• transgenic mice develop pituitary tumors at an increased incidence over wild-type or nontransgenic mutant mice

• mice have shortened life spans compared to wild-type but increased survival times compared to Cdkn1b-deficient (nontransgenic) animals

neoplasm
• transgenic mice are mostly resistant to tumor formation, but some develop smaller pituitary tumors at 1 year of age; before 1 year of age, 32% of mutants die from nonmalignant skin ulcers, but only two of these were found to have large pituitary tumors
