• heterozygous mice show no differences from wild-type in the open field, elevated plus-maze, post-shock reactivity tests, on the balance beam and balance pole tests, in the screen hang and rod hang tests, in the spatial water maze test, or in nest building
|
• mice spend less time in the light side of the light/dark box test
• in the light gradient test, mice are quick to enter the dark gradient but slow to enter the light compared to wild-type mice which show the opposite pattern
• however, since no differences from controls are seen in the elevated plus-maze or in other aspects of the light gradient test, performance most likely reflects increased sensitivity to light than anxiety
|
• mice groom for a longer period of time than wild-type mice
• however, mice do not show differences in the digging test
|
• in the sociability test, mice explore the side with a male less than the empty side
• in the resident-intruder test, mice show no differences in interaction with female than with male intruders unlike wild-type mice which interact more with females than males, indicating less sensitivity to the sex of the intruder
