• transgenic T cells transduced by adenovirus encoding Bcl-xL show substantially reduced cell death in culture; activation with ConA enhances survival and expression of Bcl-xL
• adenoviral mediated delivery of IkappaB superrepressor or p27KIP1 to mature transgenic T cells reduces proliferation in response to PMA/ConA stimulation; CrmA expression also blocks proliferation
