• at 1 month of age, photopic flicker ERGs are unrecordable
• however, overall structure and retinal layer thickness is normal up to at least 3 months of age

• at 1 month of age, scotopic flash ERGs show a loss of a-waves, an elevated stimulus intensity threshold, and a severe reduction in b-wave amplitudes
