Find Mice Using the International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR)
Mouse lines carrying:
Lgr4Gt(pU-21)1Kymm mutation (0 available); any Lgr4 mutation (94 available)
phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• Background Sensitivity: 40% of mice die on a CBA/N background

reproductive system
• rete testis dilation, luminal swelling, and atrophy of the germinal epithelium of the seminiferous tubules
• rete testis is dilated due to a water reabsorption failure
• the germinal epithelium is atrophied
• slightly increased
• decreased sperm viability
• contains short and dilated tubules with uneven sperm distribution
• epithelial cells show less endocytosis and few secretion components basal cells detach from adjacent epithelial cells
• some macrophage-like cells, which have amoebic cell membranes and lysosomal granules, are present on the basal side
• the basement membranes are multilaminated and distorted
• ECM-like material accumulates towards the mesenchymal cell layer
• some regions lack sperm
• sperm are either immotile or have reduced motility
• pregnancy rates are reduced when females are mated to wild-type males
• however, pups that are conceived are sired and nurse normally

endocrine/exocrine glands
• rete testis dilation, luminal swelling, and atrophy of the germinal epithelium of the seminiferous tubules
• rete testis is dilated due to a water reabsorption failure
• the germinal epithelium is atrophied
• slightly increased

growth/size/body
• all surviving mice have growth retardation

cellular
• sperm are either immotile or have reduced motility
