• mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) plated on fibronectin show reduced migration and colonization to a scratch wound area; mutant fibroblasts colonize 15% of wound area compared to 65% of wound area by wild-type fibroblasts
• Ehd1-null MEFs plated on fibronectin exhibit few filopodia extending toward the wound area compared to wild-type MEFs
• fibroblast rate of migration is reduced on fibronectin; mutant fibroblasts show a considerable delay in spreading on a fibroncectin-coated surface
