Find Mice Using the International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR)
Mouse lines carrying:
Spi1tm1Rpd mutation (0 available); any Spi1 mutation (28 available)
phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• most mice die prior to weaning

hematopoietic system
• fetal liver progenitor cells form fewer colonies when cultured with granulocyte-colony stimulating factor, macrophage colony stimulating factor or IL3, IL6 and stem cell factor compared to fetal liver cells from wild-type mice
• after several passages, fetal liver cells grow faster than wild-type cells in culture and resemble immature blast cells instead of immature mast cells

phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• 97% of mice die between week 1 and 3

hematopoietic system
• at week 2 and 3
• at E14.5, myeloid progenitor cells are reduced
• in culture, fetal liver cells respond to IL-3/IL-6/SCF (stem cell factor) by proliferating but fail to differentiate
• at E16.5, the number of B220+CD19+ B cells is reduced in the liver and spleen
• at week 2 and 3, mice acquire a myeloproliferative disorder
• in neonates, cells co-expressing myeloid stem and progenitor cells markers in the liver, spleen and bone marrow experience a dramatic expansion
• mature myeloid cells infiltrate the spleen
• fetal myelopoeisis is reduced

skeleton
• at 2 to 3 weeks, mice display several symptoms of osteopetrosis such as failure of teeth to erupt and partially occluded femurs

growth/size/body
• at 2 to 3 weeks, mice are runted
• at E14.5, fetal liver exhibits increased cellularity
• at week 2 and 3

liver/biliary system
• at E14.5, fetal liver exhibits increased cellularity

immune system
