cardiovascular system
• increased size of capillaries in the dermis
• significant decrease in the number of very large (greater than 10^4 micrometers squared) but only a slight, non-significant decrease in the number of large (greater than 5 x 10^3 micrometers squared) compared to transgenic mice that express Apln

cardiovascular system
• dermal capillaries and venules are more numerous, more highly branched and in some cases enlarged (J:50482)
• changes to capillaries and venules vary in different areas of the skin with skin from the tip of the ear consistently affected (J:50482)
• increased size of capillaries in the dermis (J:131824)
• dermal capillaries are more highly branched
• many more large vessels are present in the skin
• however, no signs of plasma leakage, edema, or erythrocyte extravasation are detected
• dermal capillaries and venules are more numerous, more highly branched and in some cases enlarged
• changes to capillaries and venules vary in different areas of the skin with skin from the tip of the ear consistently affected
• skin from the tip of the ear contains some prominently enlarged, abnormally shaped (resulting from vascular varicosities) venules
• vascular varicosities are seen in some venules in skin from the tip of the ear

integument
• many more large vessels are present in the skin
• however, no signs of plasma leakage, edema, or erythrocyte extravasation are detected
• skin become progressively redder in mice from 2 weeks to 2 months of age
