mortality/aging
• mice die from E17 to 4 weeks postnatally
• mice die from E17 to 4 weeks postnatally

phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
behavior/neurological
N
• mice exhibit normal anxiety in a light-dark transition test and spend the same amount of time in the center of an open field as wild-type mice
• D,l-methylphenidate hydrochloride (MPH)-treated mice exhibit reduced locomotor activity unlike similarly treated wild-type mice
• mice exhibit increased exploration of a tube filled with marbles compared with wild-type mice
• however, time spent exploring the object is normal
• mice exhibit increased activity in an open field test and home cage during the dark period compared with wild-type mice
• however, mice exhibit normal rest-activity cycles under standard light-dark cycle
• mice exhibit reduced exploration interacting with other mice compared with wild-type mice

nervous system
• more c-Fos immunoreactive cells are found in the prelimbic cortex than in wild-type mice

homeostasis/metabolism
• D,l-methylphenidate hydrochloride (MPH)-treated mice exhibit a lesser increase in c-Fos immunoreactive cells in the dorsal striatum than similarly treated wild-type mice
• MPH-treated mice exhibit a decrease in c-Fos immunoreactive cells in the prelimbic cortex compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
