• bone marrow derived dendritic cells from mice given doxycycline for 2 weeks are polarized to induce antigen specific T regulatory cells in vitro
• 4 x 106 dendritic cells isolated from mutant mice are able to significantly prolong allogenic skin graft survival when transferred to C57BL/6 hosts
• these tolerogenic dendritic cells no longer suppress skin graft rejection if host mice are injected with neutralizing antibodies to TGF-beta1 and IL-10 at the same time as receiving dendritic cells
