N normal phenotype
integument
• keratin filament disruption caused by serine/threonine (okadaic acid) and tyrosine (orthovanadate) phosphatase inhibitors proceeds faster in mutant cultured keratinocytes than in controls
• 46% of differentiated keratinocytes in culture exhibit keratin filament disruption within two hours of okadaic acid treatment compared to under 10% for controls
• a significantly higher percentage of keratinocytes without intact keratin filament networks is found within 3 minutes of orthovanadate incubation
