mortality/aging
• all mice die by 25 months
• fewer than expected mice are born

respiratory system
• 32% of mice develop lung adenocarcinoma

reproductive system
• female mice have fewer gametes than wild-type mice
• spindle abnormalities develop during meiosis
• however, oocytes progress through meiosis and arrest in metaphase II
• spindle abnormalities develop during meiosis
• mice possess fewer primordial or early growing follicles compared to in wild-type mice
• however, the number of secondary follicles is normal
• during ovulation oocytes remain trapped in the luteinizing granulose cells unlike in wild-type mice
• oocytes of mice induced to superovulate are trapped under bursa and do not progress towards the fallopian tubes
• superovulated females release no oocytes unlike similarly treated wild-type mice
• despite normal cyclicity and mating behavior, mice are infertile
• despite mating behavior, mice are infertile

embryo
• only 28% of in vitro fertilized oocytes from Trp73tm1Mak homozygous females form blastocysts compared to 75% of wild-type zygotes, and blastocysts that do form arrest in early cleavage

neoplasm
• following treatment with DMBA mice develop tumors following a shorter latency than similarly treated wild-type mice
• however, sites of tumorigenesis following treatment with DMBA are the same as in similarly treated wild-type mice
• 18% of mice develop lymphoma that infiltrate more than one organ compared to 6% of wild-type mice that develop non-infiltrating lymphoma
• 14% of mice develop thymic lymphoma
• 9% of mice develop colon carcinoma in situ
• 32% of mice develop lung adenocarcinoma

cellular
• female mice have fewer gametes than wild-type mice
• nocodozole treated lung fibroblasts exhibit increased loss of euploidy compared to similarly treated wild-type cells
• however, nocodozole treated thymic cells are euploid
• nocodozole treated mouse embryonic fibroblasts exhibit an increase in 8N cells compared to similarly treated wild-type cells
• nocodozole treated mouse embryonic fibroblasts exhibit decreased mitotic arrest compared to similarly treated wild-type cells
• spindle abnormalities develop during meiosis
• however, oocytes progress through meiosis and arrest in metaphase II
• spindle abnormalities develop during meiosis
• only 28% of in vitro fertilized oocytes from Trp73tm1Mak homozygous females form blastocysts compared to 75% of wild-type zygotes, and blastocysts that do form arrest in early cleavage

nervous system
• at 10 weeks, the dentate gyrus is either completely missing or greatly reduced compared to in wild-type mice

homeostasis/metabolism
• following treatment with DMBA mice develop tumors following a shorter latency than similarly treated wild-type mice
• however, sites of tumorigenesis following treatment with DMBA are the same as in similarly treated wild-type mice

endocrine/exocrine glands
• 14% of mice develop thymic lymphoma
• mice possess fewer primordial or early growing follicles compared to in wild-type mice
