cellular
• after irradiation, dermal fibroblasts have an increased incidence of 3 or more centrosomes
• a fraction of aneuploid cells with nearly 4N DNA content are observed in cells arrested at the mitotic stage
• there is a significant increase in the number of dermal fibroblasts that have three or more centrosomes when entering mitosis after irradiation
• after irradiation, dermal fibroblasts have an increased incidence of 3 or more centrosomes, aneuploidy, and other non-specified chromosomal abnormalities

neoplasm
• after receiving 4 Gy of radiation, 80% of mutant mice develop tumors at 600 days of age compared to 30% of wild-type controls
• 18 months after receiving 4 Gy of radiation, there is a 3-fold increase in the number of mice that have died from cancerous tumors compared to irradiated wild-type controls
• the median lifespan of the irradiated mice is 485 days compared to over 600 for the controls
