• there is also slight decrease in the number of adhering leukocytes within these mesenteric venules
• a population of leukocytes that are "fast rollers" is evident in these mice that are not observed in wild-type mice
• eosinophil numbers are about two-thirds higher in the blood
• neutrophil influx in thioglycollate-induced peritonitis is inhibited at 2, 4, and 8 hours after injection compared to wild-type mice
• lower numbers of neutrophils are observedat 2 hours than those elicited from mice that are null homozygotes for just one gene
