Increased liver inflammation and decreased hydropic degeneration in MGI:3840320/MGI:3840320 mice in response to dioxin-induced toxicity

• following dioxin exposure no increase in expression of Cyp1a1 RNA and a much lower degree of increase in expression of Cyp1a2 are detected
• after dioxin treatment (64 ug/kg) mice show increased levels of liver inflammation and serum ALT but lower levels of hydropic degeneration

• unlike in Ahr null mice, the ductus venosus closes during development
