N
• platelets exhibit normal granule numbers
• mice exhibit reduced proplatelet-forming megakaryocytes compared with wild-type mice
• however, peripheral platelet counts are normal
• platelets exhibit less of a discoid shape compared with wild-type cells
• especially with low concentrations of collagen or thrombin
• however, platelets exhibit normal aggregation response to exogenous ADP or high concentrations of thrombin or collagen
• after exposure to PAR4p, platelets fail to release dense granules unlike wild-type cells
• collagen-exposed platelets exhibit a slight reduction in release of dense granules compared with wild-type cells

homeostasis/metabolism
• especially with low concentrations of collagen or thrombin
• however, platelets exhibit normal aggregation response to exogenous ADP or high concentrations of thrombin or collagen
• after exposure to PAR4p, platelets fail to release dense granules unlike wild-type cells
• collagen-exposed platelets exhibit a slight reduction in release of dense granules compared with wild-type cells
• no stable plug formation in 8 of 10 mice compared with 2 of 10 wild-type mice

cellular
• mice exhibit reduced proplatelet-forming megakaryocytes compared with wild-type mice
• however, peripheral platelet counts are normal
