mortality/aging
• mice are completely resistant to anthrax lethal toxin and edema toxin induced lethality when given a single dose of the toxin
• when given multiple doses (100 ug each)of anthrax lethal toxin all mice survive 2 doses, 70% survive 3 doses and 30% survive 5 doses
• mice are highly resistant to Bacillus anthracis Ames strain (A35) induced lethality with only 1 of 11 mice succumbing at a very late time point following infection with a dose that is highly lethal to wild-type mice
|
cellular
• the concentration of anthrax toxin protective antigen required to kill 50% of MEF cells in the presence of FP59 is increased to 12 ng/ml compared to 1.8 ng/ml for wild-type cells
