• in vitro, CGNs isolated from P7 mutant mice and co-transfected with pMAX-GFP and pCAG-Cre (to generate GFP-labeled Map3k13 knockout CGNs) show a ~35% reduction in maximum axon length and a ~40% reduction in total neurite length
• however, no effect on branching or total number of neurites is observed
