nervous system
• remnants of the descending component of the internal capsule are tangled within the striatum unlike in wild-type mice
• at E14.5 and E18.5, all thalamic projections fail to penetrate the diencephalic-telencephalic boundary and are misrouted into the ventral midbrain where they terminate entangled within the hypothalamus unlike in wild-type mice
• corticofugal axons fail to penetrate the pallial-subpallial boundary or extend within the subpallium unlike in wild-type mice
• however, the corpus callosum forms normally
|
• at E18.5 with a lack of thalamocortical projections
|
• slight increase in layer V pyramidal neurons in the cortex at P0
