• mice show a small but significant increase in mean platelet volume along with a higher mean forward side scatter in the resting state relative to wild-type controls

• mice show a mildly delayed platelet recovery following antibody-mediated acute platelet depletion (thrombocytopenia) relative to wild-type controls
• however, in vitro platelet activation in response to multiple agonists is normal and no differences are detected in platelet function in vivo by the tail bleeding time assay
