• the number of cumulus-oocyte-complexes recovered from PMSG (pregnant mare serum gonadotropin)-treated antrals is slightly greater than from similarly treated wild-type follicles
• spontaneous ovulation is greater than in wild-type mice
• superovulated females produce more oocytes than similarly treated wild-type mice
• the time between estrus is decreased compared to in wild-type mice
• females show a modest but significant increase in average litter size relative to control females
• female mice exhibit increased fertility with increased litter size and number of litters per month compared with wild-type mice
• however, time to first litter is normal
