• unaffected rate of apoptotic cell death in mammary epithelial cells
• disrupted epithelial cell junctions at both the basal and apical layers shown by ZO-1 and E-Cadherin staining of isolated mammary epithelial cells in transwell monolayer cultures
• decreased percentage of polarized epithelial cells
