N normal phenotype
skeleton
• grooves on the labial surface of maxillary incisors that are caused by loss of enamel
• grooves on incisors result from a localized reduction of enamel on the labial surface

limbs/digits/tail
N
• normal number and flexion of digits
• on the hindlimb, only a small web between digits II and III is seen unlike in Tg(Krt14-Nog)#Jake single transgenics

craniofacial
• grooves on the labial surface of maxillary incisors that are caused by loss of enamel
• grooves on incisors result from a localized reduction of enamel on the labial surface

growth/size/body

N normal phenotype
limbs/digits/tail
• cell death in the necrotic zones is suppressed in forelimbs and hindlimbs at E13.5 and E14.5
• expression analysis suggests a delay in the regression of the AER at E12.5
• on P2 mice show proportionally shortened digits
• increased flexion of the digits of both the forelimb and the hindlimb
• a postaxial extradigit is seen in both the forelimb and the hindlimb
• an extra preaxial digit rudiment is sometimes seen in the hindlimb
• the syndactyly of adult forelimb is so pronounced that the digits can not be separated
• in newborns on the forelimbs and the hindlimbs the digits are incompletely separated
• seen at E14.5 and in adults

growth/size/body
• equal in weight at birth but decreased weight gain over time

embryo
• expression analysis suggests a delay in the regression of the AER at E12.5

integument
• various abnormalities of hair follicles
• various abnormalities in vibrissae

cellular
• cell death in the necrotic zones is suppressed in forelimbs and hindlimbs at E13.5 and E14.5
