mortality/aging
renal/urinary system
• the mesenchyme in the cortical nephrogenic zone is nearly completely absent compared to in wild-type mice
|
• after E11.0, ureteric bud attraction is impaired and fail to invade and branch into the mesenchyme unlike in wild-type mice
• at E12.5, mesenchyme cells undergo apoptosis unlike in wild-type mice
• at E12.5, 7 of 11 mice fail to exhibit bilateral ureteric attraction with remaining mice exhibiting invasion of ureteric bud on one or both sides
• however, cilia are detected in mesenpheric mesenchyme
