homeostasis/metabolism
• angiotensin II plasma levels are increased to a small degree compared to in wild-type mice
• the ratio of angiotensin II to angiotensin I plasma levels is decreased compared to in wild-type mice
• angiotensin I plasma levels are increased greater than 7-fold compared to in wild-type mice
• under water deprivation conditions, mice exhibit a reduced increase in urine osmolality compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) activity is independent of chloride concentration unlike in wild-type mice
• ACE activity in the testis is reduced to 3% of the activity observed in wild-type
• the increase in blood pressure induced by angiotensin I or angiotensin II infusion is reduced compared to in similarly treated wild-type mice

renal/urinary system
N
• kidney morphology, including kidney vasculature, is normal
• under water deprivation conditions, mice exhibit a reduced increase in urine osmolality compared with similarly treated wild-type mice

cardiovascular system
N
• mice exhibit normal systolic blood pressure, bradykinin reduction of blood pressure, hematocrit, and kidney vasculature
• the increase in blood pressure induced by angiotensin I or angiotensin II infusion is reduced compared to in similarly treated wild-type mice
