• in the reverse platform test of the Morris water maze, mutants show decreases in latency to find the novel position for the invisible platform, however this decrease is less than seen in controls, indicating a learning deficit
• in the reverse probe test, mutants spend the same amount of time as controls in the quadrant of the pool where the reversed platform had been located, however mutants cross the position of the platform much less frequently
