behavior/neurological
• in the Morris water maze, mutants spend an equal amount of time exploring the quadrant of the pool where the platform had been formerly located, however they cross significantly less frequently over the site of the original platform
• in the reverse platform test, mutants fail to show a significant decrease in latency to find the invisible platform as in controls
• in the reverse probe test, mutants perform much worse than controls, spending substantially less time in the quadrant of the pool where the reversed platform had been located and crossing the position of the platform much less frequently
