• in uninfected and T. muris-infected mice
• mice infected with T. muris fail to exhibit a reduction in worm burden at any time point unlike in similarly treated wild-type mice
• however, infected mice exhibit a normal TH2-type immune response

digestive/alimentary system
• increased numbers in T. muris-infected mice

homeostasis/metabolism
• in uninfected and T. muris-infected mice

vision/eye
• conjunctive mucous (goblet) cells are larger and show increased expression of Muc5b
• 11.4% of mice develop corneal opacification of varying severity and location; usually starts in one eye and progresses to the other
• mice show a decrease of tear film breakup time, and show corneal fluorescein staining unlike wild-type mice, indicating an unstable tear film
• however, tear volume is not changed, indicating a decline in tear quality but not in quantity
