phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• 4 of over 150 mice survive to 4 weeks of age but are extremely sick and have to be sacrificed
• most mice die in late gestation or shortly after birth
• most mice die in late gestation or shortly after birth

homeostasis/metabolism
• platelets isolated from irradiated mice reconstituted with fetal livers from knock-out mice fail to respond to CLEC1B-agonists unlike control cells
• however, tail bleeding and aggregation on collagen are normal

hematopoietic system
• platelets isolated from irradiated mice reconstituted with fetal livers from knock-out mice fail to respond to CLEC1B-agonists unlike control cells

N normal phenotype
mortality/aging
• the 3 of 205 mice that survive up to P30 were euthanized due to deteriorating condition
• mice with respiratory distress die by P1
• fewer than expected mice are found at P0
• however, 3 of 205 mice survive up to P30

cardiovascular system
• mice exhibit a connection between the vasculature and lymphatic systems
• in the brain (at least 1 ventricle and parenchyma) at E12.5 persisting through E18.5
• at E12.5 persisting through E18.5
• occasional discreet hemorrhages in the skin

respiratory system
• larger airways contain fluid droplets unlike in wild-type mice
• some terminal air sacs fail to properly inflate
• in most mice that die between birth and P1

homeostasis/metabolism
• throughout the back and limbs from E14.5
• edematous swelling at birth
• chylous ascites in the abdomen of newborns that survive long enough to feed

immune system
• between E14.5 and E18.5, mice exhibit blood-filled lymphatic vessels in the skin unlike in wild-type mice
• at P0, lymphatic vessels in the lungs contain blood cells unlike in wild-type mice
• mice exhibit a connection between the vasculature and lymphatic systems
• when fetal livers are used to reconstitute irradiated wild-type mice, chimeras exhibit loss of lymphatic vessel integrity compared with wild-type mice
• at E16.5, E18.5 and P0, the ratio of lymphatic endothelial cells to blood endothelial cells is reduced in the mesenteric vessels surrounding the intestine, the intestine proper and lungs compared to in wild-type mice

nervous system
• mice exhibit a connection between the vasculature and lymphatic systems
• in the brain (at least 1 ventricle and parenchyma) at E12.5 persisting through E18.5
• at E12.5 persisting through E18.5

integument
• occasional discreet hemorrhages in the skin
