• the CD21 and CD23 levels are slightly lower on splenic B cells compared to controls

• however, the total number of splenic B cells is indistinguishable from controls
• increased about 2 fold in the spleen but not in the peritoneal cavity
• decreased primary IgG1 response to both nitrophenyl and chicken gamma-globulin
• two-fold higher in naive mice compared to controls
