abnormal hematopoietic stem cell physiology ( J:195865 )

• LSK cells transduced with a cre-expressing retrovirus exhibit reduced homing to the bone marrow and decreased engraftment compared with control cells

• in transplantation experiments, LSK cells transduced with a cre-expressing retrovirus fail to contribute to recipient hematopoiesis unlike control cells

• however, cre-transduced cells retain colony forming activity
