limbs/digits/tail
• widely expanded digits
• all the first phalanges are shorter and thicker than in wild-type mice
• digit I and II of the metatarsal bone is shorter, thicker and curved compared to in wild-type mice
• the proximal phalanx of digit II is thinner than in wild-type mice
• the middle phalanx of digit II is bent proximally
• the space between digits IV and V is larger than in wild-type mice
• however, the digital phalanx (tip) is normal
• on digit V, especially for the metacarpal bone and medial phalanx
• more significant in the fore limbs
• macrodactyly at birth without syndactyly or polydactyly
• digit 1 is shorter than in wild-type mice
• however, digit IV on the forelimb is normal
• digits I, II and V are curved (proximally)
• tip of digit I is missing
• wider interosseous space of the fore limb
• small, misshapen and thin
• however, total length is normal
• small, misshapen and thin
• however, total length is normal
• short hind limbs
• narrower interosseous space of the hind limb
• of digit I and not connected properly to the end of the metatarsal bone
• at birth
