Enhanced cardiac regeneration in Tg(Myh6-Yap1*S112A)#Eno/0 mice

cardiovascular system
• cardiac function after permanent ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery is improved compared to wild-type controls
• increase in proliferation at P7 and in adults
• 21 days after permanent ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery at P7, hearts are regenerated with minimal fibrosis unlike wild-type controls that show extensive scarring, loss of myocardial tissue, and ventricular dilation
• 7 or 21 days after permanent ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery at P28, fibrosis is reduced and myocardial tissue is increased compared to wild-type controls
