• axon project to both the anterior and posterior halves of the accessory olfactory bulb unlike in wild-type mice
• unlike in wild-type mice, axons predominantly form glomeruli in the medial third of the accessory olfactory bulb closest to the vomeronasal nerve
• glomeruli are shifted towards the posterior pole compared to in wild-type mice
• however, the number and structure of olfactory bulb glomeruli are normal
