• TNF-alpha production is increased in precision cut lung slices induced by LPS to a greater extent than in wild-type slices

respiratory system
decreased airway responsiveness ( J:279480 )
• precision cut lung slices show a 31.6% reduction in methacholine-induced contraction after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) treatment
• however, lung slices show no difference in contractility responses to methacholine and no baseline respiratory abnormalities are seen
