• mice exhibit normal general locomotor behavior, normal anxiety in the open field and light/dark box tests, and normal sensitivity to the locomotor-stimulating effects of cocaine relative to control mice

• mice are resistant to agonist U50,488-induced analgesia, as shown by a failure to exhibit increased tail withdrawal latencies in the warm water tail-flick assay
• however, baseline tail withdrawal latencies are not significantly altered relative to control mice
