• following visual stimulation, the ON response persists but the OFF response is nearly abolished and the OFF current is nearly abolished while the ON current is less affected in W3B retinal ganglion cells

• following full-field stimulation, light-evoked inward currents persist in neighboring cells such as W3B retinal ganglion cells unlike in wild-type cells

• however, inhibitory currents evoked by full-field stimulation are normal
