Tmx2tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg/Tmx2tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg mice exhibit embryonic lethality, with embryos recovered at E3.5 but not at E7.5. Embryos at E3.5 appear as dying morulae. Mutants fail to hatch from the zona pellucida and never reach blastocyst stage in culture.
• homozygous embryos are recovered at E3.5 (20% versus expected 25%, n=35) and appear to arrest/die prior to blastocyst formation; no embryos or excess resorption sites are observed at E7.5
