Periodical hair loss in Ctsltm1.2Thre/Ctsltm1.2Thre mice

integument
• mice exhibit increased keratinocyte proliferation in the basal layer of back skin epidermis, as shown by Ki67 staining
• mice exhibit periodical hair loss, similar to Ctsltm1Cptr homozygotes
• mice exhibit epidermal hyperplasia with numerous proliferating cells, similar to Ctsltm1Cptr homozygotes
• mice exhibit epidermal thickening, similar to Ctsltm1Cptr homozygotes

immune system
• mice exhibit a significantly decreased CD4+ T cell number in spleen relative to wild-type controls (5.5% versus 15.4%, respectively)
• splenic CD4+ T cell number is within the same range as in Ctsltm1Cptr homozygotes (4.2%)
