• following infection with adeno-associated viruses that express a single-guide RNA targeting Amigo1 and a fluorescent reporter (AAV2/1-U6-sgAmigo1-CAG-tdTomato), the size of axons of infected horizontal cells is reduced and some branches stray into the outer nuclear layers
• however, the number of dendritic and axonal synapses and the size of horizontal cell dendrites is normal
