• at 8-14 weeks of age, mice spend significantly less time in the open arms of an elevated plus maze than wild-type controls
• however, total locomotion in an open field test is normal

• 24 h after training, mice show increased freezing behavior in both the contextual and cued fear-conditioning tests relative to wild-type controls
• however, no differences in the freezing response are observed during training days
