adipose tissue
• white adipose tissue (WAT) is decreased by 50% in subcutaneous tissue
• white adipose tissue (WAT) is decreased by 40% in epididymal tissue and 50% in subcutaneous tissue
• mitochondria density in BAT is decreased and has occasional ruptures of mitochondrial cristae
• brown adipose tissue (BAT) mass is decreased by 33% and have with less lipid accumulation
• crown-like structure found in WAT

growth/size/body
• body weight in males is similar to wild-type at 4 weeks, but decreases by 22 weeks

homeostasis/metabolism
• on high fat diet, mice exhibit higher fasting blood glucose levels, however, there are no differences in body or fat pad weight
• triglyceride contents of epididymal and subcutaneous WAT is decreased

integument
• white adipose tissue (WAT) is decreased by 50% in subcutaneous tissue
