• adult mice show normal vomeronasal tract fasciculation with no differences in the segregation of apical and basal vomeronasal sensory neuron (VSN) axons into the anterior and posterior regions of the accessory olfactory bulb (AOB)
• adult mice show defects in glomeruli formation with significantly larger and fewer glomeruli identified in the posterior region of AOB relative to wild-type controls
• in contrast, the anterior AOB region contains well-defined glomeruli of normal size and number

• adult mice exhibit normal vomeronasal tract fasciculation with no differences in the segregation of apical and basal vomeronasal sensory neuron (VSN) axons in the anterior and posterior regions of the accessory olfactory bulb (AOB)
• adult mice show severe disruption of the glomerular layer of AOB with loss of morphologically distinct glomeruli
• glomeruli in both the anterior and posterior regions of the AOB are severely disrupted and the boundaries between glomeruli are largely indistinguishable
• the average size of presynaptic terminals in the glomerular layer of AOB is significantly larger than that in controls
• however, no change is observed in the average length of asymmetric or symmetric synapses
• mice show a significantly decreased number of asymmetric synapses in the glomerular layer of AOB relative to controls
• in contrast, the number of symmetric synapses (i.e. inhibitory inputs from periglomerular cells) in the AOB glomerular layer is similar to that in controls
• mice show a significantly decreased number of asymmetric synapses (i.e. excitatory glutamatergic synapses of VSN axons onto mitral cell dendrites) in the glomerular layer of AOB relative to controls
