• however, sperm are able to travel across the zona pellucida and display normal motility
failure of sperm-egg fusion ( J:289090 )
• sperm undergo acrosome reaction but fail to fuse with the egg membrane
• however, sperm are able to bind to the oolemma
• bypassing fusion by intracytoplasmic injection results in successful fertilization
