mortality/aging
• following intranasal infection with Influenza A virus strain A/WSN/33 (H1N1), all mice die on day 8, 9 or 10 post-infection, whereas all infected wild-type controls survive to day 14 (end of observation period)

immune system
• following transfection with poly(I:C) or RNA mimics (5'-pppRNA) or infection with Sendai virus (SeV), peritoneal macrophages show significantly lower mRNA expression of Ifnb1, Tnf, Il6 and Ifit1 (aka Isg56) relative to wild-type macrophages
• at day 5 post-infection with vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) by intravenous injection, female mice exhibit significantly lower serum IFN-beta levels than VSV-infected wild-type controls
• following intranasal infection with WSN, A/WSN/33 (H1N1), mice exhibit dramatically increased virus titers and more severe bronchopneumonia with prominent viral antigen expression in the lungs at day 3 post-infection, and continue to lose body weight until death, whereas all wild-type controls gain body weight at the late stage of infection
• primary peritoneal macrophages show significantly higher growth titers of WSN (H1N1) virus than macrophages derived from wild-type controls
• following intranasal infection with Influenza A virus strain A/WSN/33 (H1N1), all mice die on day 8, 9 or 10 post-infection, whereas all infected wild-type controls survive to day 14 (end of observation period)

hematopoietic system
• following transfection with poly(I:C) or RNA mimics (5'-pppRNA) or infection with Sendai virus (SeV), peritoneal macrophages show significantly lower mRNA expression of Ifnb1, Tnf, Il6 and Ifit1 (aka Isg56) relative to wild-type macrophages

homeostasis/metabolism
• at day 5 post-infection with vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) by intravenous injection, female mice exhibit significantly lower serum IFN-beta levels than VSV-infected wild-type controls
